The Lord’s charges in summary form to his servants are, (preach, teach, pray, disciple, and to be a witness) and they must be held foremost in our minds while we labor for Christ’s kingdom in this alien world.

1. Preach the salvation Gospel to the whole world (Mark 16:15)
2. Teach all nations that Jesus Christ is Lord (Matthew 28:19)
3. Pray for the Fathers will to be done on the earth (Luke 11)
4. Witness dutifully and testify to the world of the Light (John 1:7-8)
5. Preserve the Faith and be like salt in the world ( Matthew 5:13-16)

Our (believers of Christ) mission in this world is a chance to invest in the joy of helping to make the Lord’s harvest an all the more abundant one. This is the fruit of His love. Were it not for others who shared the good-seed of the Gospel to us at some point in our lives, then we would also remain in darkness, and alienated from the kingdom of Heaven.
